Interior Design Project: Timeless Charm Children’s Room

At Deco for Curious, we envisioned this children’s room as a space where functionality meets aesthetics to create a warm environment filled with stories and character. The project aimed to bring a room to life that invites dreaming, learning, and enjoying the magic of childhood while integrating unique elements that reflect the spirit and essence of our store.

Highlights of the Project

  1. Plates on the wall: We love blending art and craftsmanship, and in this case, the face plates by artist Carmen Roncero add a unique and expressive decorative element to the space.
  2. Beds and textiles with history: Each quilt and cushion, with its design and texture, tells a unique visual story. Traditional patterns and warm tones stand out, evoking a cozy, homely feel—perfect for a child’s room. Additionally, a canopy was incorporated over the bunk bed, adding a theatrical and inviting touch that transforms the bed into a special feature within the room.
  3. Bed dressed in vintage textiles from different parts of the world: The main bed is adorned with a unique selection of vintage textiles gathered from various parts of the world, adding a global character and a touch of history to the decor.
  4. Colors that Enrich: The walls, painted in deep green tones, create a serene and enveloping atmosphere, contrasted by colorful textiles and geometric details that bring dynamism to the design.
  5. Decorative Art: One of the walls features a collection of hand-painted faces that add an artistic and personal touch to the space. These pieces embody the connection between contemporary art and decorative functionality, evoking the creative spirit that defines Deco for Curious.
  6. Textile Details: Custom-made curtains and blinds combine botanical and geometric motifs, harmonizing with the rest of the décor. The mix of striped fabrics and floral patterns brings freshness and balance.
  7. Vintage and handcrafted pieces: Details like the rustic table lamp and the fabric headboard with geometric patterns stand out for their artisanal character, blending practicality with history and tradition.

The Vision

The goal was to create a children’s space that transcends the typical functionality of a bedroom. We wanted an environment that tells stories and transports its inhabitants to a world of imagination. Every piece was selected to embody the authenticity and character that define our philosophy at Deco for Curious: creating homes where history and design converge.
