RARE ANTIQUE FRENCH BLUE ENAMEL POTTERY CONFIT POT
A rare antique pot known as a ‘Confit Pot’ made of blue-glazed ceramic.
Traditional French pot used in the past to preserve duck confit meat on French farms.
From the end of the 19th century onwards, they were no longer made of earthenware but of stoneware, a finer type of ceramic.
Period: Late 19th century – Early 19th century XX
